Many Thelemites are sad to learn the news that all of their energies when facing toward boleskin house are being directed toward burnt ashes as of late. Historically, it IS very sad. I'd have liked to gotten a chance to visit the place personally, but what can ya do?

I myself feel that it is the dawning of a new age. Everything up to this has been Thelema with training wheels, as it were. Where Crowley felt the new Aeon began when he received the book of the law, and the "destruction by fire" was more metaphoric allegory for knowledge. It always felt like a stretch to me, but I rather like this event for that more. here's why...

In the Thoth tarot deck, the "Judgment" card was changed to "The Aeon" because Crowley felt that judgment day's old views of that specific concept of the dead coming to life to be judged was out dated, and had already happened. in the NEW aeon, the imagery in his Thoth deck would be more appropriate. This card is specifically interesting because of the attributions it is assigned. Fire, and the hebrew letter "shin". It's a stylized depiction of the stele of revealing, and that's an entirely different tangent, but most Thelemites can fill you in on that if you're interested.

So Qabalistically, the form of Boleskin House was physically manifest here in Assiah or Malkuth. it has transcended physical form with transformative fire, now lingers in the 3 higher plains of existence. An invisible house still stands, and energies are still to be directed there. Even though a physical crude representation will no longer stand there, Thelema will not only march forward, but probably use this as a springboard to further preserve and interpret Crowley's works and that is awesome. new age. I think THIS is what the fire is all about. Food for meditation at least...
