Many Thelemites are sad to learn the news that all of their energies when facing toward boleskin house are being directed toward burnt ashes as of late. Historically, it IS very sad. I'd have liked to gotten a chance to visit the place personally, but what can ya do?
I myself feel that it is the dawning of a new age. Everything up to this has been Thelema with training wheels, as it were. Where Crowley felt the new Aeon began when he received the book of the law, and the "destruction by fire" was more metaphoric allegory for knowledge. It always felt like a stretch to me, but I rather like this event for that more. here's why...
In the Thoth tarot deck, the "Judgment" card was changed to "The Aeon" because Crowley felt that judgment day's old views of that specific concept of the dead coming to life to be judged was out dated, and had already happened. in the NEW aeon, the imagery in his Thoth deck would be more appropriate. This card is specifically interesting because of the attributions it is assigned. Fire, and the hebrew letter "shin". It's a stylized depiction of the stele of revealing, and that's an entirely different tangent, but most Thelemites can fill you in on that if you're interested.

So Qabalistically, the form of Boleskin House was physically manifest here in Assiah or Malkuth. it has transcended physical form with transformative fire, now lingers in the 3 higher plains of existence. An invisible house still stands, and energies are still to be directed there. Even though a physical crude representation will no longer stand there, Thelema will not only march forward, but probably use this as a springboard to further preserve and interpret Crowley's works and that is awesome. new age. I think THIS is what the fire is all about. Food for meditation at least...

The human scum over at Nerdist put my likeness in one of their articles about the GWARBQ! They asked me how I had first heard of the band, so I told them. They completely paraphrased it all, but got most of it right. They DID however COMPLETELY mess up my name. If I ever see Chris Hardwick in person, he will be correctly screaming my name for hours on end, as he writes it in the dirt with the bridge of his nose (as I use my dick to impale him).

"The Sacred Magic of Abramelin The Mage" by Abraham of Worms (Translated by S.L. MacGregor Mathers)
This book is actually comprised of three books. The first book is a chronicle of Abraham the Jew's journeys, as told by Abraham to his son Lamech. In the first book, he tells stories of exotic lands and a number of magicians he encounters along the way in hopes of learning from them. he expresses his opinions of each magician's character, and the validity of their studies.
In the second book, he goes on to explain a six month long ritual that one can use in order to make a connection with your Holy Guardian Angel. many of the rituals require solitude and repetitive actions. The book alludes to, but doesn't give all of the details about, talismans and symbols needed to perform some of these rituals, but more clearly explains the actions that need to take place.
The third book has all of the symbols, and explanations there of. The system of Magic employed in this book is very similar to many more modern practices, and is no doubt one of the classics these more modern rituals pulled influence from.
Just knowing that Crowley tried to perform this ritual at Boleskine House but was called away before he could finish it shed SO MUCH light on how his philosophy and entire RELIGION came to be. In addition to the Rosicrucians and The Golden Dawn, this book is easily among the birthing energies behind the solidified structure of Thelema!
